Conceive A Boy – 4 Tips When Using Ovulation Prediction Kits
There are ways in which a couple can increase their chances of conceiving a baby boy and in this article we look at one way of how to conceive a boy. It is important that if the couple want the sperm which contains the male gene reaches the egg first to fertilize it they need to know exactly when the woman is ovulating. The best way of being able to determine when a woman is ovulating is by using a prediction kit.
In fact ovulation prediction kits are proving very popular as a way of being able to detect the exact time period when a woman has begun to ovulate. The main advantage of using an ovulation prediction kit (OPK) is that it will tell the woman when she is about to start ovulating before it has even begun. These kits are able to detect the increased production of Luteinizing hormone within her uterus and this generally takes place around 36 hours before ovulation.
There are two kits which can now be used for predicting when a woman is about to start ovulating today. There is either the test strip device or the midstream device, which although they work in the same way, need to be used differently. The test stream method needs the woman to urinate into a container and then the device is dipped into this for several seconds. Whereas with the midstream method the device needs to be held below the vagina and the urine is allowed to stream on to it when the woman goes to the toilet. Generally with this second method you have to wait around 5 minutes before a result is provided.
There are a number of things that a couple can do when using ovulation prediction kits so that they can better determine when the woman’s ovulating time has begun. Below are just a few tips which a couple may find useful if they intend to use an ovulation prediction kit to help when they are trying with how to conceive a boy.
Tip 1 – To get a better idea of when it is likely you are going to be successful in using an ovulation prediction kit is to spend time keeping a record of the woman’s body basal temperature. Keep the information on a chart so that you can quickly see when ovulation takes place each month.
Tip 2 – Even though you may think it isn’t worth the effort you need to be testing yourself more than once each day. Instead it is best to test using the ovulation prediction kit twice each day. This way you are increasing your chances of identifying when the increase in Luteinizing Hormone in the uterus is taking place.
Tip 3 – It is vital that each test you carried out is done at the same time each day and it does not necessarily have to be done first thing in the morning. You can do it at any time of the day, just as long as you do it at the same time each day on the days following the first test. Keeping to set times through out each day increases your chances of seeing when more of the Luteinizing Hormone is being produced by the body.
Tip 4 – Also you need to continue carrying on testing the urine with the ovulation prediction kits until you begin to see an increase in the production of the Luteinizing Hormone. As soon as this occurs then in order for the couple to increase their chances to conceive a boy they need to have intercourse with 36 hours.
